I am a teacher, researcher, and writer. Currently, I am an Assistant Professor of Spanish at the University of Oklahoma. In August 2024, I will join Georgetown University as Assistant Professor of Spanish. I hold a BA and MA in Spanish from the University of New Hampshire, and an MA and PhD in Hispanic Studies from Brown University. From 2016 to 2017, I completed a Princeton in Latin America Fellowship in Quito, Ecuador working with the Centro Integral de Niñez y Adolesencia (CENIT).

My research primarily focuses on contemporary literature, film, and cultural production from the Andes that address questions of race, indigeneity, political violence, and migration. This being said, I consider myself a comparativist who enjoys working across national contexts, including Chile, Cuba, Mexico, and the United States. I have published and forthcoming articles in A Contracorriente, the Arizona Journal of Hispanic Cultural Studies, Chasqui, Hispanic Review, Modern Language Notes, and the Revista Canadiense de Estudios Hispánicos.
